Continue the Tour - Audio Only

The HSBC bank stands on the corner of High Street and Baxter Gate. The next building on the tour is the Georgian Tea Rooms, which is on the right-hand side of the High Street, the audio clip will guide you to the next location.

On your journey, you will be shown other Listed Buildings, and when they were built.

After the HSBC, the next Listed Building is on the right, Lloyds Bank, built-in 1912 at 55 High Street, at one time the office of Robert Baxter, the solicitor to the Great Northern Railway Co. in its early days. he was honoured for his role in bringing the railway to Doncaster.

On the left is Barclays Bank built in 1882, built by F Masters, he also built the Priory Place Post Office and a number of other buildings on the trail.

Again on the right is 52 High Street, an early 19thC building.

As we approach our next featured building, on the left are two buildings that are said to date back to the 16th century. A plaque has been installed on the building to commemorate this.
