WILLIAM ANELAY LTD.
For over 250 years the building firm that bears the Anelay name has been a well-respected contributor to quality buildings in Yorkshire and beyond. The foundations of the firm were laid in Doncaster when John Thompson (born 1714, died 1771) founded the business in 1747. Later the Anelay dynasty took over and the firm became a limited company in 1927 and is now based in York.
