From Jordans, turn left and continue towards the High Street, where we will end up at our next featured location, the Mansion House.

Opposite Jordans are two listed buildings, the first one is the Post Office built in 1885, and on the corner with the High Street, the now, TSB bank, built-in 1923.

Opposite the Mansion House, is the Nat West Bank, originally the Westminster Bank.

The architect was Walter Brierley of York who designed the York City and County Bank of 1897.

Unfortunately, Brierley never saw the finished effect, he died in 1926.

Continue around the corner and you will come to the Mansion House.
